Berlin Invites Short Films LOVE GAMES and CHEONG

Short films Love Games and Cheong had been invited to the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. The festival announced additional films invited to the ‘Generation’ section and ‘Short Film’ section on January 10th (CET). Love Games directed by JUNG Yu-mi was invited to the ‘Short Film’ section and Cheong by KIM Jung-in to the ‘Generation’ section.

Jung’s Love Games is an animation that portrays the feature of immature love through children’s games. It received notice at a couple of domestic film festivals including the Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF) and the Mis-en-scene Short Film Festival. Cheong, invited to the Generation section where youth films screen, is a film about Hong-ee, a little girl living with her blind father. It won the Best Film award at the Great Short Film Festival.

Other films that have already been invited to the festival are HONG Sangsoo’s Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, LEESONG Hee-il’s White Night, E J-yong’s Behind the Camera, SHIN Su-won’s Pluto, LEE Don-ku's Fatal and KIM Dong-ho’s Jury. The Chinese film The Grandmasters starring SONG Hye-kyo will open the festival.
