Omnibus movie YOUTH PROJECT Casting K-pop Idol Stars

An omnibus movie Youth Project about five youngsters has cast major K-pop idol star Starring roles have been offered to Donghae of Super Junior, NAM Ji-hyun of 4Minute, SONG Seung-hyun of F.T.Island, and more.

Youth Project was made in support of Creative Youth Human Resource Development of Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). This movie is composed of five segments focusing on youth, young actors and action. Invent Stone Inc, the film studio behind Boomerang Family (2013), is participating in this production along with Samgeori Pictures and Little Boy Pictures. Five shorts are Rummer by director KIM Jin-moo of The Apostle, Going Out by indie film director KIM Ji-mook, There is No One I can Trust by rookie JOO Sung-soo, Way to the Army Training Camp by PARK Ga-hee, who is known for her short films, and Play Girl by director JUNG Won-sik.

Donghae of popular idol group Super Junior and Woorin of girl group INY will feature as high school students in Rummer. Ari of Tahiti is going to star in Going Out, SONG Seung-hyun of F.T.Island in There is No One I can Trust and NAM Ji-hyun of 4 Minute will appear as a main character in Way to the Army.

The producer expressed, “The project is designed to have its competitive edge as a commercial film due to its cast of idols and raising stars, with the focus on youth which can form common sentiments.”
