A Heroine of Korean melodramas in the early 2000s and best known for her role in the TV drama The Last Empress, veteran actress LEE Mi-yeon (Indian Summer) is set to come back with Happy Facebook. The omnibus film will be LEE’s first commercial feature in three years, since 2012’s SO Ji-sub-starring A Company Man.

Directed by Lovers of 6 Years director PARK Hyun-jin, who has recently been focusing on web drama series, Happy Facebook will be produced by hit filmmaker JK YOUN’s JK Film. CJ Entertainment will handle the distribution.

Happy Facebook will be a romantic omnibus film centering on three couples’ love stories developed through social network service platforms. It has been reported that actors KIM Joo-hyuk (The Beauty Inside), YOO Ah-in (The Throne), E Som (Scarlet Innocence) and Kang Ha-neul (Twenty) are also joining the cast. LEE will be playing a single mother who is also a successful drama scriptwriter.

The omnibus film has recently locked down all the lead actors and is planning to start shooting in mid-July. Theatrical release is tentatively scheduled for the first half of 2016.
