The Magnificent Seven’s actor LEE Byung-hun has paved the ground for acting in Hollywood. He had previously belonged to CAA (Creative Artist Agency) since he made his debut in Hollywood as Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra in 2009, and has signed a new contract with UTA (United Talent Agency) which houses many famous actors in Hollywood including Angelina Jolie, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton.

LEE’s Korean agency, BH Entertainment announced the news on March 24th by saying “LEE Byung-hun resumes his Hollywood career with UTA.” The company started with only LEE Byung-hun and KIM Byul in 2006, and has become one of the major agencies in Korea which includes many actors such as HAN Ga-in, HAN Hyo-joo, HAN Ji-min, JIN Goo, LEE Hui-joon and KO Soo. Over the past years, BH Entertainment has been thinking of its global expansion while it has formed a partnership with overseas agencies like Artist View and Hakuhodo DY in Japan, CAA and William Morris Endeavor in U.S. and HS Media in China.

LEE’s contract with UTA seems to be a part of their global business plan. BH Entertainment said that “LEE Byung-hun has received a lot of love calls from leading agencies in U.S. and signed with UTA after much consideration. Currently, he has been offered to star in some films and will start working in Hollywood soon.”
