Director YOU Sun-dong Returns to Horror Genre

JUNG Eun-ji, a member of the Kpop girl-band Apink, is considering making her feature acting debut in the upcoming horror picture 0.0Mhz, to be directed by YOU Sun-dong and jointly produced by Monster Factory and JM Cultures, according to her agency PLAN A Entertainment.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, 0.0Mhz follows the members of a cafe group who experience various supernatural instances, including seeing ghosts. Their story unfolds after they meet at an abandoned house.

In addition to her successful career as a member of Apink, JUNG broke out on her own as a performer in TV dramas, starting with Reply 1997 in 2012, which earned her a Best New Actress Award from the BaekSang Arts Awards. She has steadily built up her fanbase through several other shows and may extend that streak to the silver screen through 0.0Mhz.

Director YOU Sun-dong has directed several films before, such as the drama Mr. Housewife (2005) with HAN Suk-kyu and the horror sequel Death Bell 2 : Bloody Camp (2010). He is also a prolific writer, having penned screenplays for RYOO Seung-wan’s Arahan (2004) and Shoot Me in the Heart (2015).

Once casting is complete, production on 0.0Mhz is expected to get underway in the second half of this year.
