GIBANG BACHELOR Eyes December Production

LEE Jun-ho, a member of the popular K-pop boyband 2PM, has selected his next film project which will be the period comedy Gibang Bachelor (working title). The project will be helmed by NAM Dae-joong, the director who debuted with the youth comedy THE LAST RIDE in 2016.

The young singer began his career in 2006, when he won the Superstar Survival competition show and signed with JYP Entertainment. LEE joined the band 2PM and after years of success, he transitioned to the big screen in 2013 when he made his acting debut in the hit action-thriller Cold Eyes, opposite JUNG Woo-sung, SUL Kyung-gu and HAN Hyo-joo. LEE made an impression as a rookie member of a surveillance team in the film, which clocked up over five million admissions after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.

He has since gone on to appear in two other film projects. The first was the youth comedy Twenty (2015), the first commercial project of director LEE Byoung-heon in which he co-starred with KIM Woo-bin and KANG Ha-neul. Later that same year, he featured in PARK Heung-sik’s period action epic Memories of the Sword (2015), which was headlined by JEON Do-yeon, LEE Byung-hun and KIM Go-eun. Though he has since been active on the small screen, Gibang Bachelor will mark his first film project in four years.

The period comedy will begin production in December.
