Actor Joins Youn Yuhjung and Kim Yunjin in Heartwarming Drama 

Actor Yoo Haejin appears set to join the cast for the upcoming drama Dog Days (literal title). The actor is reviewing the script and is said to be positively considering his offer to appear in the project. From powerhouse production company JK Films, the film has already cast Youn Yuhjung and Kim Yunjin and will mark the feature directing debut of Kim Deokmin. 

Dog Days is described as a warm drama that will follow the lives of several characters as they grow as people along with their dogs. Rising star Kim Seonho was previously attached to the project but left the main lineup last month.

Veteran actor Yoo has one of the most impressive track records of any Korean star, with leading roles in films such as Public Enemy (2002), The King and the Clown (2005), Tazza: The High Rollers (2006), Woochi (2009), Veteran (2015), LUCK-KEY (2016) and Confidential Assignment (2017), among many others. He was recently featured as a voice in the Netflix film Space Sweepers.

JK Films is one of the top production companies in Korea, having been responsible for hits such as Haeundae (2009), Ode to My Father (2014), The Himalayas (2015) and Confidential Assignment, as well as its upcoming sequel, also starring Yoo.

Director Kim previously worked as an assistant director on the JK Films project Keys to the Heart (2018), as well as the Korean War film Operation Chromite in 2015.

Dog Days is expected to go into production next month and will be distributed by CJ Entertainment.
