The Other Child, a mystery horror starring Park Hyoju, Kim Minjae, and Cha Sunwoo, has been officially invited to the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, the largest genre film festival in Northern Europe. The Other Child has been invited to the ‘First Feature Competition’ section, where the debuts of notable new directors compete, and it will be screened as an international premiere.

The Other Child is a mystery horror film in which strange things happen when a grieving family who lost a child adopts a new child. The festival organizers introduced the film by saying, “A chilling mystery thriller, blessed by stirring imagination and striking acting performances, especially by child actors. Skillfully raised fantasies about exorcism, possession and resurrection slowly transform into breath-taking horror, which may not leave your thoughts for a long time after the screening.”

The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, held in Tallinn, Estonia since 1997, is the only Baltic & Nordic international film festival recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). Until now, many Korean films have been invited to the festival, including A Distant Place directed by Park Kunyoung, GONJIAM: Haunted Asylum directed by Jung Bumshik, Winter’s Night directed by Jang Woojin, BURNING directed by Lee Changdong, and The Throne directed by Lee Joonik

Marking its 26th anniversary this year, the Black Nights Film Festival is being held from November 11 to 27.
