The global streaming service Netflix confirmed Monday the production of a new romantic comedy series by renowned screenwriter Kim Eun-sook, starring Suzy and Kim Woo-bin.

The 12-episode series, "Everything Will Come True," revolves around an encounter between a lamp genie (Kim Woo-bin), who has been asleep for a millennium, and Ga-yeong (Suzy), an emotionally detached human. Ga-yeong inadvertently awakens the genie and is offered three wishes in return.

Kim Eun-sook is a star writer known for many hit TV series, including "Secret Garden" (2010), "Heirs" (2013), "Descendants of the Sun" (2016) and "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" (2016-17). Her revenge thriller, "The Glory," which aired on Netflix from Dec. 30, 2022, to March 10, 2023, became one of the most-watched Korean dramas on the platform.

"Everything Will Come True" will be helmed by director Lee Byeong-heon, known for films such as "Extreme Job" (2019) and "Dream" (2023) as well as TV series, including "Be Melodramatic" (2019) and the recent Netflix series "Chicken Nugget."

The project marks the first reunion of the two actors since they co-starred in the KBS drama "Uncontrollably Fond" in 2016.

The release date has yet to be announced.
