Student Features on the World Stage
Korean foreign sales outfit Mirovision has signed a deal with the Dankook Graduate School of Cinematic Content (DGC) to handle world sales on the school’s growing slate of student works.
Much like the Korean Academy of Film Arts’ Advanced Program (which is repped overseas by CJ Entertainment), Dankook has of late been deploying impressive student debuts on the global film stage, with works such as LEE Yong-seung’s 10 Minutes, which scored a berth at the Berlin Film Festival last year and picking up top prizes in Taipei and Vesoul, and KIM Dae-hwan’s End Of Winter, another Berlin invitee that kicked off its run with a New Currents award from Busan Last year.
Also on Mirovision’s current slate are the indie dramas Sunshine, by PARK Jin-soon, CHO Sung-kyu's Planck Constant and their recent Japanese acquisition Serenade by KEINOSUKE Hara.
